While narrowband dampers are efficacious only at a single, predetermined frequency, their application scope is undeniably limited. From a vibration perspective, the initial resonant frequencies have substantial influence; particularly, when instruments are mounted onto the upper platform, the fundamental mode or even higher modes may shift, potentially rendering narrowband dampers ineffective.
Conversely, our designed tunable dampers effectively address a broader range of mid-to-high frequencies, with a specially calibrated high-efficiency region spanning from 50 to 500Hz, where the attenuation effect is notably pronounced.
